Hello, the idea is change the way that units sort in a formation (currently it is based in a unfriendly with micro way) and add the option of swapping between ascendent or desendent order depending of unit HP left…
This mean that if I select the ascendent mode the units will take their posticion in a formation with the less HP units in the rearguard. In reverse, if i select descendent mode, more injured units will take place in front of formation.
Why? I think this adds a layer of micromanagment of armies, because you can choose, for example, in a fleeing situation the descendent mode to keep safe your injured units.
At opposite, if you want to engage a fight, you will prefer your full hp units in front.
Thoughs?

It might also be helpful when trying to split an army, some to go back to fight, some to heal/garrison.
Right now it’s super tedious, but if they’re sorted it’s a lot easier to grab say the most wounded half to heal, the healthiest half to go back out to fight.
Idk where it’d fit in the ui.
Perhaps some hot key would be better to select similar units with equal or less hp???

Would it be its own formation? Or could you say have box formation with wounded units in the center?
I was thinking in attach this behaviour with aggressive and defensive stances… to not overload the ui with new buttons
I think this should work with all formations, except with flank formation because reagruping could make a mess with spliting move… Archers would suffer too much.

This is a good idea in theory. But I am not so confident that the feature will be serviceable without new bugs…

Yes, I though about it, but by this time we all should assume any change in game, as minimun it would be, will bring new bugs with it. We can’t stop discussing new ideas because of that…

Regrouping caused bad pathfinding for half a year. I don’t want them to mess it up even more with this extra
complexity.
