New Game Modes Ideas?

Ranked FFA ofc: Suggestion: FFA Ladder

A simple war mode. Each player has an amount of resources. In a previous menu just pick a civ, select units, quantity, Techs researched and go fight. No vils nor building, just micro your army to defeat the enemy

yeah the random cost mode is amazing, But Rip to all kind of none standard lobby game since the introduction of quickplay … now hosted game rarely fill up …

Just add the ruins from AOE DE.

Create a team MP ruin conqueror mode (2v2) where you need to control all 5 ruins on random maps for at least N number of minutes to win the game. A few might even be located on the water somewhere.

A build your civilization mode:
pick a tech tree, five bonuses, unique unit, 2 unique techs, a team bonus and go

a capture the flag mode. when someone captures a flag, a timer for that team goes up. When the team gets to some threshold, that team wins.

Could be with relics, or other thing

you start with 2 tc of two different civs. every villager builds buildings of his civ. You share resources for both civs, but you have to research techs independently

I would say fix the current game before adding more game mode that breaks more stuff.

IDK if there is a mod already, but a full Hidden civ, you have to discover what civ are using your enemy by the architecture and units o strat they use

One mode with no natural resources, but a few of capturable Gaia markets like Battle royal that generate resources (could be just Feitorias).
You can train vils anyway and build like a normal game, just have to capture these camps to obtain resources.
The victory condition should be conquest.

Conquer the world mode like in Rise of Nations, War of the ring like Battle for middle earth 2.

I would like a mode in which the players conspire to recruit units against other players and wish to gain the king’s favour (or even kill it start anarchy)

It would be more 100% diplomacy. Units are controlled by an AI and can change their affiliations.

However, this would be more like a brand new game than of a game mode.

EDIT: OH, NO! NECROMANCED THREAD!

This is actually pretty interesting! it can lead to some pretty unpredicted combinations that you need to adapt to in order to play with.
