BTW , UNIT metals are improved as well, these materials look like actual metal
o
OH WOW! the best one so far for sure, that looks amazing honestly
an actual graphics overhaul, yk what this looks like now, X019 trailer, finally
Very nice!!!
This is what I expected out of an AoE released in 2021.
also, water reflections, was that addressed?
land is based on images above looking excellent now, i’d love to see some of that love reach water as well
My 6gb of graphics is supporting it, so thanks
imma try, i dont have hopes for that though, but if this is the start of a graphics upgrade, its then a good start
indeed! that has 4k graphic for sure
Nop!
Waters the same. They’ve done some basic changes to lighting, but water is untouched. Seeing as they changed shadows because of performance however, I am hoping that the same will happen with water with a similar reasoning, for currently, many players actually have performance issues with water.
This is different than lighting in that, water can’t be avoided, so it might prompt some more urgency. Or, at least this is what I hope.
Is that wind on that Ger??
YES THATs the other thing i wanted to share , ITS A COOL ASS DETAIL HAHA, so small but soo cool!
i must be dreaming or smth haha
the big highlight here for me isn’t the cliff, its the snow tesselation finally being shown
Pretty sure it isn’t though. The new AO around the stone makes it look like the snow is popping, but it is actually the rock. They should defo get on that though.
This is amazing. This is what most of us expected when the game launched back in 2021.
THANK YOU DEVS
Hopefully they will continue working on the graphics (water, units, buildings etc.). This is the way. Age of Empires IV is getting better and better.
i think the content editor allows you to paint snow into objects…
Indeed!

Did they fix the way the trees look? Cause they look like they are from pre 2005. Happy that the weapons and armor are finally starting to look like metal, that was so annoying to me. Will have to try it out again to see the improvements.
