Thanks for sharing. What are the brown banners on each of the military units? :o I’m guessing they are for control groups but the banners don’t have a number on them.

If you save it as a .GIF file and insert an image to your post it will show. The post editor displays a popup for .MP4 files which says, “File is not allowed”.
Example:
I see they haven’t upgraded the AI for single player, but everything else looks good. Is it me or does the hill in this look less ‘tiered’ when compared to the hills we saw in the Gamesconn demo.
One-click reseedable farms, interesting.
I hope this guy didn’t break the beta NDA

Probably not because he’s a journalist and publishers hand out copies of the game just before release to stir up interest.

this is the important thing, actually. In the gamescom demo I was frustrated I have to baby sit my units to reach the enemie town…
They have used the AoM icons for the UI. But they could have added a female villager.
I love how he doesn’t have enough wood to reseed the farm
I wonder if other buildings’ foundations are walk-through, and if so, what happens if there are units inside!

Probably the same thing we have in AoE2 - they just move out of the way.
Ok I’m going to place a mass of units inside a wonder foundation and put a wall around it first, then use steroids so it builds instantly
Let’s wait for a english versión of it, can’t understand anything on German.
I feel like those banners aren’t group control but who knows, we need a German translator guy around here
Love how units can walk over building foundation but it leads me to think that enemies have a faster way of reaching your villager instead of circle around the building.
Cool stuff, the editors say they had been in Redmond and got some exclusive insights.
VERY INTERESTING: “The devs told us they are thinking about adding other multiplayer options than Xbox Live such as adding LAN multiplayer”!!! (at 2:41)
I guess if they will do it that feature would be a added post launch.
The gameplay is simply wonderful! I just found that the flags that appear in the units when they are in a group pollute the game too much. The animations are totally smooth which I really appreciate, I can not wait to get my hands on this game!
All they need to do is update the codes and allow the LAN. It’s not like the game didn’t have it before
From the translated text : The flags are a tool of the developers and will not be visible in the finished version.
Edit: ■■■■, no hi-res cheat units

that is not funny
I want that fun back
Has YouTube not translated subs in each video?
You want what fun back?
The cheat units are all included, but are the old graphics.
The flags, idk what that is for
And I didn’t know dam N was not allowed as a word.
Around 2:00 he talks about balancing changes e.g. the greeks, which are getting buffed, because the community had valid points, why they are in the DE to weak.
Also campaign missions with boring win conditions will get new ones. This is usually the case, if a mission was a pure destroy mission.
You can also see on the minimap in this video, that there is shallow water on the left side (at least it looks like that imo). This wasn’t the case in the original mission “Opening moves”. So maybe there are some more minor map changes, to improve the map design! (but that’s just my speculation).
So sad there is no build grid
That could be implemented in a mod, as in the original there is a mode to turn on a grid in the scenario editor.
