Whenever we find an opponent in ranked queue, the chat box is nowhere to be found. It was available just last patch. Why remove it without notice???

Is this while you are in-game or in the lobby menu?
If it’s in-game, you’ve been chat banned. These are typically temporary and will be lifted on its own after a certain period of time.
If it’s in the lobby, that’s because it revealed the opponents name if they sent a message.

I am not sure. Chat bans typically coincide with reports from other players. It’s entirely likely the OP was referring to the lobby chat box, which does not show in ranked games.
Ranked games are pvp only, so I’m not really understanding why you’re bringing up skirmish or ai.

You have to press ENTER, then this appears:
Usually, the chat is hidden at the start of the game. You have to press ENTER for it to appear.
Now, that’s on PC. I don’t know if you’re playing on console.

I know about that problem, but they actually fixed it. It appeared as *ranked opponent: * . then patches ago there is just no more ranked lobby cchat
