No new puppies, amirite?
Puppy is lost, puppy is seeking his way home.
Man…
They really are waiting until 23:59 of the 31st of december of 2024 to release the update/dlc
I should imagine that WE are waiting for the very tiny gap where they’re not releasing any AOM:R, AOE2 and AOE4 news to squeeze it in.
Hello, I hope you are very well. Movements were seen on Steamdb https://steamdb.info/app/933110/history/ greetings.
AoE 2 and 4 now get their Ultimate Bundle’s on Steam…
I don’t think there will be any PUPs, most likely the full patch will be released later this month or early next month. In my opinion, if it comes out earlier it would be a pleasant surprise and if it comes out later it would be a slight disappointment.
For better or worse we will have to be patient, unfortunately we have no choice.
Everything indicates that AoE 2 will receive DLC in November - this is according to SteamDB, where PUP-Nov files have been added… the question is, does this mean the release of DLC for AoE 3 before or after this?
Unless the DLC is delayed, and I could be wrong, it’s very likely that the AOE 3 DLC will be released at the end of the year.
Just in case, I recommend keeping expectations low.
I wonder how literally the developers intend to take their “end of year” promise. Will the release coincide with the Times Square Ball drop?
The DLC should be delivered later this year
Unfortunately, due to dev’s work on AOM Retold we dont know that yet!
I’d say the intention is proportional to how prepared the “great event” was where this “great DLC” was announced.
Jokes aside. Does it matter if they delay it? I say this because considering the huge number of developers who were relocated to AOMR, plus those who were fired for “reasons”, I don’t know if that wouldn’t be something positive for this DLC.
I clarify that this is mere speculation, I don’t know to what extent staff cuts may be a factor, but I think it’s reasonable to take them into account, just in case.

Not only that, but we also have to take into account Microsoft’s whims, they already delayed a patch for “reasons” before.
In any case, I ask you please not to fall into pessimism, it is not impossible that they deliver the DLC as agreed, so I recommend keeping expectations low, but without falling into pessimism.
We know they’re hard at work for us. There were updates pushed to the FE final branch as of this morning:
Another possibility is that the DLC is mostly finished and has been for a while. They’ve known about it for a while (probably almost a year, even though we’ve known for less), and while I suspect it wasn’t done before AoMR, it could have reached the ~80% months ago.
As long as the civ designs are solid it shouldn’t take too long to produce a Euro civ. Most of the buildings and probably at least half of the units (if not more) already exist. A lot of cards too.
It wouldn’t be too hard for them to get too a point where they have a mostly done DLC aside from a bit of placeholder art and names.
I’m speculating as well.

I’m not going to lie to you, I don’t think that’s the case, but to confirm or deny my suspicions I’m going to wait for the DLC to come out.

Yes, that’s true, but we’ve also seen that the developers have had a lot of staff cut, so we’ll have to wait to see for sure if the DLC will be any good or not.

Yes, anyway, everything is speculation regarding the DLC because what the developers promised was not respected, there was supposed to be an increase in communication and it did not happen.
100% possible. They could be building the entire DLC right now with a plan for a December release.
I don’t think that’s possible, it seems like a short time even for a European civilization.
I think the developers started producing the DLC after the announcement and since then a small group has been working on it. At the same time, when AOM was released, probably some developers returned to AOE3DE, which probably speeds up the work on the DLC. (at least that’s my theory).
It remains to be seen whether the DLC is finished on time or not, and whether it is well done or not.
I think most of it was done before the announcement. The leaked Poland/Denmark revolutions were from awhile ago.
It’s possible that they had something, but since they never came out as revolutions it’s not possible to know for sure. Although given the amount of requests from the community regarding more revolutions similar to the Napoleonic Revolution, perhaps they already had some things pre-made.
It’s something I hadn’t thought of, good contribution.
We can only wait, if your theory is correct there is a greater chance that the DLC will come out without complications.
Hello people, I hope you are all very well. The developers just posted this on Twitter.
greetings.
