This is definitely a noob question but I read everywhere that French is one of the most powerful and easiest civ to play thanks to their royal knights.
However, when playing this civ, I find myself easily countered by an army of spearmen. I feel that any player playing against French will know they’ll have to fight knights and so just create tons of spearmen and that’s it.
So, how do you deal with spearmen when playing French?
Archers and spearmen.
