Following the Nov 2023 patch where the Nootka War Chief was reverted to a non-hero unit, the death animation was not restored.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Play on a map with Nootka
  2. Ally with the Nootka
  3. Get the War Chief
  4. Kill the War Chief

The old death animation should occur.
