  1. always liked the game, would like to play it some more.

  2. i only really follow competitive treaty.

  3. its a fun game? idk, lots of new maps and content that i like, weak point? performance, but old engine.

  4. i like the maps and the new natives+trade routes, i also like the age up mechanics they’ve come up with. that being said i think some factions are pushing complexity a bit, i also still dont think USA was the right choice for a faction to the game. another petpeeve of mine is how i need to use an xbox account to do challenges, i just dont want to do that.

  5. more factions, that’s kinda it.

A diverse and magnificent game that relatively few of us appreciate and understand.

Successes: Complexity and diversity of strategies.
Errors: Not having achieved a more solid mass of players due to certain promosional errors of the past.

A complex issue of which I do not have much criteria, but I believe that competitive is hard work that takes a considerable time to consolidate. As for networks, I think a good job is done by the most faithful, but they should do large-scale patronized events to show more of the game.

I think that in general it is fine or it will improve eventually, but what needs to be changed is the way of obtaining currencies from pre-Columbian nations.

What can I say about them? They are very creative and understand the game in all its aspects. They know that this game is not afraid of innovation.

If I could say they “fail” at something, I can’t think of anything I could blame them for.

I hope to invigorate the older content of the game as many of you have already mentioned. DLC about the places of the world that remain to be covered.

I personally think that a full ‘Napoleonic era’ campaign included in a European DLC would make the game sell a lot more. A campaign in the style of the campaigns of the Black family with cinematics, dubbing and other things.

YES THEY SHOULD DO THIS, YES THEY SHOULD DO THIS.

1- My favorite among the saga, they really brought the diversity into the game.
Instead of only the architecture and castle units in aoe2 you get an entirely different civ in aoe3.
Can’t really find a miss on the game, maybe the overall faster gaming speed instead of a more relaxed game like the predecessors, but that also makes it fun in battles.

2- I think it’s pretty competitive, every game has exploits and shortcuts to victory, but with the variation on civilization counters and home city shipments, they get the strategy building to a high level of competition and adaptability once 2 equal players collide.

3- Sadly, it seems that a lot of people don’t really like the time period of the game, it’s a period of change and instability around the 2 worlds, not sure why some would only stick to the medieval period.
As for strong points, can’t stress enough the diversity point as well as the representation, it’s fun to see your civilization in the game, it sort of “Brings you home”.

4- Not much relation is present with the developers, they do read the forums but we can’t read their opinions or thoughts on the posts, a bit more communication would be nice, a lot of cool ideas show up every once in a while, a heads up on what will be considerated is always cool.

5- Honestly, looking back on the AoE3 original release, then AoE3 with War Chiefs & Asian Dynasties, and now with AoE3DE with the latest release, A WHOLE LOT OF CONTENT HAS BEEN ADDED, If the game keeps getting bigger as it already has even during this 1 year since release, it will be awesome.

AoE2 does get more attention from the community, but it would be straight up wrong to say that the devs have left this game to die. I mean, in 1 year we got 4 new civs and a whole lot of features.

I played this game since I was little and will probably play it until me or the earth turn into dust
