After doing the French Revolution and the Napoleonic card, you can send the “Old Imperial Guard” that improves grenadiers. The thing is that without the Church card you won’t be able to use Grenadiers, so this card should also make you able to train them, if not is completely useless.

Grand Armee also is useless to grenadiers.
