On PS5 settings reset every time the game starts

Issue:

Every time the game is started, the settings reset to the default settings. This includes the menu narration. Settings do save in the menu, as long as you press square. It is possible to play through a scenario with the settings saved. But if the game as a whole closes, the settings reset.

Trigger Event:

Restart your console. Or close the game. As long as the game has to restart, the settings will reset to default.

Reproduce Steps:

  1. Change anything in settings.
  2. Press square to save. Exit settings.
  3. Restart your console, or close the game.
  4. Then start the game again, and the settings have reset.
  5. This happens every time the game starts on PS5.
