One nomad map is enough

actually, nomad is the only standard map left

all the others enabled the custom dumbed-down setting of position-picking. that ruined the entire balance of the game

with position-picking, people just produce 1 unit class for the entire game as fast as possible with no strategy / no scouting / no variation. the only civs that matter are the ones with bonuses for producing those units (archers and cavalry), and the games end in 15 minutes because one team spammed more units than the other team

not to mention the other joke maps such as the explored ones or the ones where you start with prebuilt stonewalls

i couldnā€™t disagree more. most map pools only have 1 nomad map. i highly enjoy having two of them. in my opinion there should be two options every time :smiley:

All question of taste. Iā€™d prefer they delete amazonian tunnel or all these useless maps full of trees where you need the whole afternoon to finish the game.

For that, more maps should be in the pool otherwhise in 4v4 it means potentially 4x2 = 8 different maps and it can block the game.

Unfortunately will never happen since the vast majority of the playerbase appears to be sub 1200 elo.

Amazon tunnel isnā€™t as bad as Michi. Itā€™s real cancer if people wall behind tree on Michi. Even though the opponents are slow, they can still catch up when you cut down trees with Onager.

At least there are only 2 nomadic map. Look at closed map. We have Michi, arena, BF and oasis which is a half closed one. Imagine the pain for those who dont want to play closed map.

While I would like long-distance open map like Valley or Ghost Lake in the map pool, nomad maps are nice open mapsā€¦ Even though little bit luck based. You have bad starting food economy and youā€™re guaranteed to get castle dropped.
