OotD Zealot Concept-+

  • Zealot replaces Prelate
  • Does not boost economy like the current OotD Prelate
  • Zealots train from barracks and monastery (unlocks from Barracks in Feudal age)
  • Like Guilded unit, Zealot has 2x cost (200g), hp (base 180, increased to 220 with Piety), and pop (2), and has a movement speed of 1.375
  • Has a unique healing range of 4 tiles (normal is ~1.5)
  • Replace Inspired Warrior tech with a new tiered influence buff available in Feudal
    • Zealot influence range radius is 6 tiles
    • the more Zealots that are present around infantry, the better the buff
    • 1+ Zealot - Endurance - infantry base movement increased to 1.375
    • 2+ Zealot - Fortitude - infantry gain +1 melee and ranged armor
    • 3+ Zealot - Strength - infantry do +20% damage
    • Affects melee and ranged infantry
  • Zealot can be trained for discount from Burgrave
  • 1 Zealot comes free with completion of Regnitz
  • Max buff level times out when infantry are not in range within 1 second (something like Network of Castles)
  • New imperial tech: Martyr - whenever a Zealot dies, all infantry within his influence attack 20% faster for 15 seconds (non-additive, timer will reset for an infantry unit if another zealot dies)
  • This makes the mechanism of individually inspiring units completely go away for OotD
