When playing the ranked 1v1 or TG queue, suddenly most of the opponents you meet in ranked are pre-muted, meaning their messages are completely blocked. You can check that by opening the ingame Chat Menu, and seeing red slashes across the trumpet icon next to a player’s name. This is happening really often, and almost in every one of my 1v1 or TG games

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start playing a Ranked Game
  2. Open the Chat / Taunts menu
  3. Check if enemies are pre muted
  4. most of the times, the whole enemy team has a crossed out trumpet icon next to their name, indicating you muted them, even though you have no previous memory of muting anyone.

Hello.

The issue is happening to almost all the players in the game playing ranked games, mostly in team game matches. The only way to reproduce this problem is by joining a team game match and noticing that even your teammates can be muted from the start of the game.

This wasn’t mentioned in patch notes so i assume it is still happening. I will check in in a while after i play some ranked games to see if oppponents are still being muted.

Still happening frequently (I’d guess 35%+ of games), TGs and 1v1s.

This is actually a good thing given the amount of trash talking I’ve been experiencing from my opponents in the last couple matches.

Don’t fix please.

This is still happening nearly every game, I usually do TGs.

I approve of this thread necro. Surprised to see how long this has been an issue, but can confirm it’s still a big one and it seems to be happening more frequently.

This issue is still being tracked. However we could not find a way to reproduce it. If you do, please let us know so we can investigate further.

How many times this happens to you? Can you record a video next time you play some Ranked games to see if it is reproduced then?

You can reproduce it if you block that opponent in the previous match

Thats expected behaviour, I think the others have the issue even if they do not block anyone

I’m not sure how to reproduce it. Today it happened at least 4-5 times and a couple times in a row. It seems totally random. I remember at least one or two of the players were in the game with me before where they weren’t muted, then the next game they were muted at the start without any of us doing it. It also happens even if you’re in a pre made lobby with someone.

I can confirm that this bug still occurs very often. I am not sure how to tell you to reproduce it, you just have to queue up with a friend for a couple of teamgames, and check at start of the game if the opponents are muted.

Last night me and a friend queued up for a 2v2 and matched vs a famous player/streamer IamChris. We wrote gl hf, gg etc… and it clearly wasn’t visible when we rewatched his stream after the game. He would have also been muted for me if I hadnt checked it manually at minute 0 to remove the mute.
