Pathfinding ignores land or water ways

The automatic path finding keeps ignoring obstacles like rivers or land. I have two examples for that.

2 Villages (wood cutters) just walking across a river in order to get to some trees and get instantly killed by a Horsemen or Knight.

In the same game, a fishing boat goes onto land for a couple of tiles and gets killed by a tower or castle (down recall).

Both these instances should not be happing since the river has no crossing at all and a boat should not get into land.

This only happens if the game is trying to find an automatic path if I selected either of these “wondering” units I can not get them back. The boat is unable to get back into the sea and the villagers are not able to cross the river back to safety.

On a Side note: Neither of the resources are the closet, there are trees that are closer to the villagers and there are better fishing spots then wondering thru Spain’s mainland.

Both instances are available in the attached save file. This will be happing within seconds of each other.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Load the save game file
  2. Select shortcut 6 for the villagers
  3. Just watch how they become Jesus and walk the water into Francia.
  4. Select shortcut 5 for the fishing boat
  5. And just watch how it became and amphibian landing craft and storming the beaches of Spain
