As someone who has played StarCraft , I anticipate multiplayer quick match and multiplayer ranked matches will have a lot of griefing with the 60 second unskippable pause button.
I hope I’m wrong.

First of all, I would like to thank the professionals who worked on the Season 9 patch. It seems to be a great update for the game. Congratulations to everyone involved!
I would just like to share with you a concern regarding the pause button. This feature was a great addition, but it should be limited to the custom game, it should not be present in the ranked game. I play ranked 4v4 matches with friends and it will be a bit annoying and unpleasant if we have to wait 4 minutes (1 minute for each opposing player) to continue the game. This feature can be used negatively by players who are losing or who have bad intentions. It will really break the rhythm of the match. And if it becomes repetitive in other matches, it will become really annoying.
In custom matches, the pause is very welcome.

In pup the pause was only 30 seconds

Absolutely. They’re completely clueless if they’ve extended it from 30s to 60s.
