Pavisier Imperial upgrades pls

a very cool and unique unit, but completely wasted in the late game.
It would be a great buff alternative for Italy too

Pretty sure them not getting upgrades is 100% a design choice to make you transition into Bersagliere.

I’m not sure if you know about the Roman Tactics card but it provides the unit with close to imperial age combat stats when you are in age 5 (you can get +75% hp/attack instead of +100% hp/attack)

You do need to have them in a mass of at least 9-10 units to get the full attack boost.

With all the cards and with infantry breastplate/military drummers these are the final age 5 stats.

I think it likely gets outclassed by the Bersagliere in terms of damage and stuff but its stats aren’t abysmal for age 5 imo.

Yes, the Bersaglieri are awesome. But, the Pavisier is a beautiful unit, we Treaty players should not miss this unit.

I think that warping the civ around treaty just to make the Pavisiers viable in imperial age will just make the game worse overall, the game wasn’t meant to have everything viable in lategame.

Yes, even if I am a Treaty player I think the game must priorize the normal players. But pavisiers are awesomely designed

We don’t have to rework the civ. Maybe a card like the Old Han Reforms, increasing costs but unlocking Imperial Upgrade.

Agree, is really cool. But only if is not viable in supremacy (not broken more Italy), add to a card with high cost 2k food 2k wood. Probably nerf others card like roman tactics. …

Or this is a nice idea. But add cost for not abuse of upgrade a mass of pavisiers to imperial in a instant.

I don’t play treaty, but its loyal players (perhaps the ones who are the most, what hours the crazy people spend…) deserve a decent balance in their favorite game mode.

There are many ways to make it not affect supremacy. And even less 1v1.

won’t help Italians in treaty. They need too many buffs in their anticav, economy, and their bombards.
