played the older aoe titles, aoe 3 alot back when it was a box game and now in definitive edition as well as other rts games.
the issue this game has really bad is the ai/pathing that you as the player get for example, i will click a worker to go and build a wall, half of the time he will walk 20 feet and then stop. tell the worker/scout/mil unit to go to an area they move and then just stop.
tell my horsemen to attack move onto archers they decide to run the opposite way and nosedive into a wall of pikes. there are so many more examples of this that makes this game just pathetic in terms of pathing/ai, not trying to sit there and baby every single unit when i give them a very simple command of walk/attack/build.
how is it possible that games from 20 years ago to now never had this issue but this game made by a trillion dollar tech company cant manage to tune their ai /pathing? sure microsoft doesnt directly work on the game but cmon devs you guys went to school and worked on games before how is this even a thing in a game like this.
