Players who purchase DLC are unable to open and edit campaign files

Firstly, it should be noted that my English is not good. The following content is generated using machine translation, and some expressions may not be accurate and clear enough.

The battle files of DLC have been encrypted, and even players who have purchased DLC cannot edit and view them. In fact, it is entirely possible to add an immutable embedded symbol to these battles, and when players open the scene file containing these symbols, they can check whether they have purchased the corresponding DLC, which also solves the problem of tampering and leakage. It is unreasonable to purchase DLC but only play battles and cannot view and edit them, especially for players like me who enjoy researching map editors. I hope the production team can make changes to this point.

The devs are scared you might improve upon their campaign and make it ten times better.

It’ll be to stop people just resharing it for free as a mod.

All unique units can also be shared as a mod. That’s not a good excuse.

Honestly I like to use the maps they create as templates for a simcity like experience. I remove all the triggers and rebuild the city how I want it. Anyways I do remember someone giving me a rar file for the Dawn of the Dukes campaigns.

It is in all games, that the DLC content can’t be released as mod.

Perhaps you didn’t understand what I meant. I think it’s possible to add a tag in the DLC scenario file that cannot be modified or deleted by players (in various forms, as long as this effect can be achieved). Only players who have purchased DLC can view and edit scenarios with this tag. Even if it is published as a module, players who have not purchased DLC still cannot use it normally.

Its not an excuse that how it should be.
