there is an option to make the minimap bigger (clicki on arrows on the left of minimap), but it doesnt show anything else

What should that minimap show exactly?
the same taht the minimap has around. Homecity flag and resources
I guess by design it’s not meant to be played in big mode all the time. Personally I almost never use it, but I’m familiar with minimap and maps themselves so I don’t have a need to. And can’t recall any screenshots with big mode turned on.
Adding that wouldn’t hurt anyone. Also there should be + and - buttons that let map be zoomed in or out more gradually. That big mode takes too much space on the screen, but something in between? Why not.
