How can this game not have autosave on/off option?
I want to turn it off because it impacts game smooth. Game suddenly stutter and freeze while playing.
Right now, I have to set these autosave file to read-only file.

I agree, but after the latest patch the performance was improved slightly. Will they make it optional, or just improve the stutter and keep forced auto-save? Probably the latter.

I personally experienced this issue after The Three Kingdoms update in the 1st scenario of the Cao Cao campaign, and it managed to annoy me even though I was enjoying the visuals (eye candy) of the scenario very much. I noticed the stutter in other peoples’ gameplays, too.

This is a performance issue that should be one of the priorities to fix/address, as it negatively affects the experience of any scenario being played.
