Please give us an East Asia DLC asap

With Tibetans, Jurchens, Khitans, Tanguts and Nanzhao, all of them multiplayer civs with classic 5 or 6 mission campaigns.

THX. We’ve had enough of these experiments, I want actual aoe2 content. Actually I wouldn’t mind these spin-offs every now and then if we got proper aoe2 content regularly.

  • please make an option to disable the new civs in civ selection screen because these ancient civs are immersion breaking.

  • give Persians Central Asian architecture set, you can do it if you can make new sets for all the new ancient civs.

Waka. Waka. This is time for Africa.

Devs already decide “No” to that request imho.

Used in trailers and screenshot but not in the game. Smh
Even ancient civs gets its own.

They won’t appear in the main AoE2 selection screen. They are their own game mode.

I’d rather have a Balkans DLC first, but I agree with the sentiment.

Although these new “game modes” raises some hopes for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds remastered.

They almost want me to delete the game and go back to old version. This is so much cringe to bear.

Yes let it be Balkans, East Asia, Africa, America or whatever but I don’t understand why to change something that worked for more than 20 years.

Honestly I actually like this new DLC Idea, but at the same time I 100% want to see new DLC for China/East Asia, the Balkans, Africa, Americas, etc in the more “traditional” vein. It can be both, and hopefully it will be both

The concept is fine but:

  1. People have been hyping up an East Asian DLC for 4 months but the devs could’ve told us its not a classic DLC so people wouldn’t be that disappointed
  2. We waited a lot for this, we haven’t had new classic civs for a year already
  3. The fact you can play a 500BC Greek civ with a 16th century Portuguese civ ruins game immersion

Devs are living their own fantasy. They are making mods not DLCs at this point.

If microsoft is serious then the lead whoever it is taking the decisions should be fired immediately.

I’d accept a new East Asian DLC with 4-5 civs and even more campaigns as an apology for the abandonment of aoe2.

You can love or hate the new DLC, but its not aoe2, its a spin off.

I think it’s even quite possible that they’ve been working on two dlc’s at once, considering they had to bring new blood to work on Chronicles and thus could split the team.

How do we find out about that? I’m feeling let down by this new DLC which again looks like them mooching of RaW work…

Yeah, I just noticed in SotL’s video he mentioned the team that did Chronicles is a different team than that which do “standard” DLC’s. I also imagine that this Chronicles thing is the main reason they brought Philthydelphia (or however you spell his name) on, and then just put his mods out as V&V because Chronicles was running behind or something.

Everything i’ve seen is that this isn’t going to be a thing, especially not in ranked play.

Edit: Ok, it looks like if you do a single player skirmish versus AI, loaded up from the “Chronicles” tab, you can do a single player skirmish versus the new civs, but if you do a single player skirmish from the “base game” tab they shouldn’t be there, so you can keep plenty of game modes untouched by the new civs if you want.

Dont worry we will see a proper DLC pretty soon, From what I know this DLC is made by a totally seperate team which is capture age. The team includes modders from Roma ad Bellum mod. This team will keep working on Chronicles and single player stuff.

The main devs which are i think world edge and forgotten empires team are working on the traditional DLC and multiplayer stuff. Infact they have only worked on patches and updates the whole year. So, I think after one year delay the next traditional DLC will be big. I think the next DLC will be in March or April

they mentioned it in the article about this dlc. Chronicle team is a seperate team and they will only work on classical age and singleplayer stuff

To be honest, the mode would be a little bit boring in skirm with only the three starting civs.

If we keep moving at this pace, I don’t expect anything any East Asian, African or American DLC. Leave alone Deccan, Levant, Polynesian, Balkan DLC.

Forgotten Empires Team failed us in being faithful to AoE2.
