Please make hausa has 4 villagers on each farm or something to automatically select 10 food farms and change them to gold

takes a lot of time to do it, and there is not enough space in the map, on difference with other civilizations the farms have to be on the edge of the city in order to make all villagers work, this expose villagers to cavalry, skirmishers etc.
Its a big weaknesss

You can shift+click 10 farms and change them all from food to coin or back.

that takes a lot of time, i need a better solution. Its hard to be attacked and trying to get enough food and gold, clicking on each farm.
i need something like finding 5 farms with a hotkey and then changing to gold.
when constructing them i guess i must shift click and then group them to change them later. But even this takes time, while defending allies or yourself. Because also i need to wall versus daymio etc.
Its really hard to click everywhere just to get enough sources.

I totally agree with you they occupy lots of space.I think they should add gold version of the same farm type into building menu.

Didn’t say it was a great solution. Unfortunately atm it’s the only solution one so I was trying to help to the degree I could.

its a bad a solution, if accidentaly clicked shift click on a villager instead of a farm the matter complicates.

yes that would the easiest solution i guess. I used to have a macro to convert the fields one by one froom food to gold quickly, i guess i will create it again.

Make African farms support 5 vills by default.

make african farms less lobotomised to begin with.

Double the size of the field and make it can hold 10 villager

then it will even more obvious that they just reskinned rice paddies.

That isn’t the issue, the issue is that it is completely annoying to use them propperly. From the 8 farms around the granary having not space for 40 settlers, to the overly long duration to build them. They are just bad.

I feel like my sarcastic dig at the half-assed eco buildings was lost on you. I completely agree that they’re terrible but its not going to change because they just won’t change it to be even more obviously reskinned (much like how they can’t have levied gunners - which are reskinned musketeers - cost res)

Long time to set up is just the price you pay for having the best transition building in the game

what does lobotomised mean?

maybe the granary should be the size of a pillar wall

im not complaining about the time to set up but the space they take that make the civilization specially vulnerable to surprise attacks.
i complained about the time, but i solved it using a macro.
i just complain about the weakness of having economy on the remote parts of the kingdown where villagers can be raid.

Fields of course
There’s nothing that comes even close to how cheap fields are to set up

They are easily the worst transition building by a very large margin.

On paper they are by far the best for coin and only lack behind in food because of high upgrade cost but that’s negligible for 1v1 and with one card they are even more ahead also becoming the best for food.
So I’d say them needing more micro is 100% justified
