They forcing you to buy GAME PASS. I honestly don’t like paying every month since I play 1 or 2 games only, if AOE4 could be cheaper I may get it. ---

People who keep saying this is AAA game or brand new who r u kidding ? this is 80% Aoe 2 20% Aoe 3 i dont see any reason for 60usd price tag for 4 years they didnt even focus water or naval what they were doing ? if u wanna see AAA game and graphic of 2021 check Company of Heroes 3 Aoe 4 is just a small project from Microsoft for Relic ---

But this **IS** a brand new AAA game. Same as diablo4, civ6, coh3, battlefield 2042, cod vanguard, assassins creed: idk and everything else. Why people are hating aoe4? I have no idea… Same logic you used could be applied to every other sequel or prequel of a game released or soon to be released. “Why charge $80 for diablo4? it’s like d2 and d3 together” “Why $60 for battlefield 2042? They basically just did new maps and weapons” “Assassins creed is just like a reskin of older games with the same mechanics” ---

This is of course very sad. But the fact is that games are a luxury anyway. Games are not an essential product that must be accessed, no, games are like going to the cinema or the theater, this is entertainment, if you cannot afford it, then this is not a problem with games or movies. Perhaps in this case, you need to ask the question of the minimum salaries and the economy of your country, why people have limited access to entertainment, but this is not a problem of the game itself. I think it will be much better to sell each civ seperately (like each civ cost 1/8 of the price now). This stategy may attract more player to try this game. ---

Couldn’t disagree more. This is a new AoE title not some remake. The price is totally fine, every other AAA game has similar pricetages. This is basically the price of going to the cinema 3 times and you will spend the next months / years playing this game. No idea why people nowadays think everything has to be cheap or for free, but at the same time whine about P2W games ? ---

I wonder if it could work to make this game free to play like league of legends and only make revenue with skins and cosmetic stuff one can buy. And make the civilizations so one can unlock them with progress points or buy them (like in league of legends). Indeed this would make the game more accessible and many games have shown that this works. But this isn’t something they will change now, they would need to add an ingame shop and so on, not going to happen. On top they would need to encrypt all the texture data and so on, otherwise “skins” and such things could be shared. ---

I still don’t understand how people have this many issues with the price for a AAA game? It’s nothing new and that’s how much they cost, and the same thing could be said about BF 2042, D4, or any other game that continues their franchise but they are AAA games and they will cost a minimum of 60$ at release. ---

I think the problem is with the region pricing, $60 AUD would be a reasonable price to pay for 1 copy of the game instead of $100 AUD. ---

Problem isn’t base price but local prices. Microsoft added games to steam like Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5 etc. from steam’s offered local prices until latest E3. After that every new game added to steam with increased prices. ---

It would not be a bad idea if they reduced it based on mean net salary for struggling countries. That would only benefit them by bringing in more fans and income.
