This scenario is WAY TOO HARD. I have NO idea how I beat it the first time!
The timer is extremely unforgiving, the enemies spawning infinite units is incredibly unfair, and the whole experience overall is just not fun. Easily one of the worst campaign missions in the entire game.
Fix. It.
Its hard, but its doable and its fine to have harder levels (hell, theres many which are wayy harder)
Also, its now harder becaues eles were nerfed and war eles were removed
My prefered strat is to go to the western land path and spam eles like crazy
Just because you can’t complete the scenario it doesn’t mean it should be “fixed” or make it easier. I’d agree with you if the scenario would need very specific methods to complete it, but that’s not the case. With all due respect, I suggest you not play it on hard. And if you really want the gold medal, you need to improve your speed or your strategy for the scenario, you can ask the community for help or watch videos on YouTube.
Making a scenario easier may be good for some people, but for others, it would make it boring or take away the challenge of completing it on hard.

Sorry mate, my bad for assuming that. But still, there’s no need to make the scenario easier; just try another strategy. I remember trying to make an economy as fast as possible to keep making units and ships and that was before i played the art of war. I’m not part of the multiplayer base so i didn’t know build orders and that scenario took me several tries. Good luck!
I play that scenario twice at hard, both going with water routes. Booming for food and gold while making castle at the shore and enough fire ship. when there is about 10 minutes left remaining, I transport some villager and made 5-8 forward stables for battle elephant spam, when you get the building from capturing the city, use that to train arbalest or halbs. I don’t even bothered to do the side objective of buying indian siege elephant
