Pol for the last 9 civs devs should introduce into the game

False in the mapuche part, they had metal from before the Spanish invasion

Wrong.
Tarascans were more advanced than the Aztecs or the Mayans, the Inuit expelled the Vikings, and the Mississipians resisted a Spanish expedition larger than the one that destroyed the Aztecs.

The Meso civs, as impressive as they were, were not more successful than quite a few of the missing civs.

Well, that part is not a problem. Bronze is harder than iron. Even the Spanish and the English used either bronze or steel armor in the conquest of the Americas.
Besides, Japanese had bronze-wooden armor + steel katanas even during the era of aoe3.

Tbh the only reason Aztecs fell was because they had too many enemies

maybe also because they didn’t sus out ““Quetzalcoatl””

False. They didn’t even have copper. And in their daily lives they used stone tools.
Platería Mapuche – Chile a Mano
"There is no single version regarding when the Mapuche people began working with metals, since although the Andean peoples of America achieved a complete knowledge in foundry, alloys, tool making and goldsmithing, this knowledge arrived late to the peoples of the extreme south of the eastern continent, so there are those who argue that even this knowledge came with the Spanish conquerors.

In any case, at the beginning of the colony, the development of Mapuche goldsmithing was limited to simple objects cut, polished and drilled, and it is believed that copper was used more than silver or gold, which were more scarce minerals in the area of the AraucanĂa.

From that time on, the work of the Mapuche goldsmiths was perfected in every area, reaching its maximum expression in the 19th century, from the active trade of the Mapuche people with the territories of northern Chile and the Argentine pampas, in that in exchange for livestock, seeds and textiles, silver coins were received, which instead of being used as exchange values, were used as a base element for pieces of goldsmith, either as drilled and hammered coins or as material to melt and melt. prepare sheets with which a variety of pieces were made."

Which was entirely their fault.
Even that is debatable, as Aztec culture was already showing grievous signs of decline, 30 years before the Spanish even showed up, which is why they were doubling down on religion so much, and needed so many sacrifices, as it was a way to keep the people focused and avoid rebellion, while also providing a way to regulate population growth through war.

Here’s a question for all you people saying we need Muiscans or Tarascans, do you think the average person who doesn’t give a ■■■■ about history will want to play a civilisation they can’t even pronounce the name of?

Yes, that’s what I said in my original post: they used copper tools and silver ornaments after the Spanish started to conquer the region.

i think so

i couldn’t pronounce half of the civs when i started playing, but that doesnt mean that they weren’t as fun to play!

Yes, they would, it all depends on how you sell it to them, and a Tarascan warrior in Bronze armour, for example, would look very striking along the game’s normal roster.

Neither Mayans and Aztecs used metal weapons.
Weapon metallurgy is not a requirement to be in the game.
Muisca make sense. They were as advanced as Mesoamerican civilizations and had rich history before colonization.

But everybody probably knows who the Spanish or Franks were, I’ll bet a thousand dollars you won’t find a single person who knows who the Muiscans were.

Well, you lost that bet, because in this forum, a lot of people have at least a good idea of who the Muisca were.

No offense but I say that doesn’t count.

then who are the people typing away in this thread 11

anyways, aoe2 has introduced us civs we knew nothing about, thats the fun of expansions and campaigns

made this post before you posted that, but even if no one knows the civ, it doesnt mean it shouldnt be added

I have at least some idea who the civs in AoE now are but I don’t know anything about the Tarascans.

But muiscan territory was smaller than the average american town or a big county here in America 11.

God forbid a game set in a historical background actually teach people some History they never knew about!
