Honestly it depends on which civ I’m playing as
Portuguese- cyan
Malta- Red
Inca, Dutch - Orange
etc

Since I play Aztecs and India, I feel orange is the best for them haha

Haha nice, yeah dutch are orange for me aswell
Idk why, but portugese, inca and aztec are green for me

I almost always use friend/enemy color, so I’ll say blue.

I find it funny that no one has chosen green yet. I started playing orange on RE because too often green wasn’t available. I’m fine with either, but prefer orange in AoE3 at this point.

I make it match the civ flag whenever I can :sweat_smile:

So Otto, Malta, Spain and Lakota are ALWAYS exclusively red.
And French is always blue :v

(Is that an OCD?)

I also tend to choose colors according to civilization:
British and Ottomans- Red
Spanish and Germans - Yellow
Russians and Italians - Green
USA and France - Blue
Portugal - Cyan
Dutch - Orange

It would be nice to have the option to automatically adjust the color to a specific civ. It’s not important or a priority but it could be a cool optional thing.

I did for a time but I don’t think it’s looks nice on video.

Tbf i also switched my colour settings, because i didnt like the hue ^^

For me pink is now white-ish
and cyan is black-ish

Yea I darkened most of my colors a fair bit.

I also match the colour to the civ when I choose both…
But I usually play random civ vs AI so I leave it on blue because blue looks good with every civ. I like yellow but yellow Sweden has horrible banana caroleans (unplayable)

Yes, the best thing to do is to choose the color based on the flag or the historical uniforms…

Egypt, Rumania and Lakota also as in the campaign…

Chinese and Indians too…

Mexicans and if you include Brazil too…

Swedes and Haudenosaunee too…

Argentina too…

And if they include Black color: Japanese and Barbary States…

I pick Orange on desert maps, so my allies cant find where the gold mines is from the minimap

I’ve noticed that purple is the hardest to distinguish from hunts on the minimap by default. Raiding as purple is kinda fun. I’ve altered my purple so it stands out a bit more.
