What do you think about the treasures on the map as in AoE3? Want? Needed?
I mean, we already have relics, which are imo a more interesting version of treasures, so I don’t really see the point.
Give the Relics some guards so players can’t pick them up to easily.
No need. This is not AOE3.
Some maps could have gaia units guarding the relic or even abandoned temples which contain a relic.

Treasures were a “replacement” for the aggressive hunting and wild animals that appeared in AOE-3’s predecessors.
Nah, I don’t think we need them. Relics are already better and map makers can easily add any of these ideas to any maps or RMS in the editor once the game fully releases.
The same engine! Relics is are too few. And the scouts a “feel bored” without treasures.
There are about 50 relics in EE. I wonder what the new relic total will be in Retold? I wouldn’t mind more unique relics but treasures from my understanding feel like a step-down.
No, not like in Age 3. They are too small and dull.
Maybe like a small base with a depot, as in the campaigns (perhaps a tower/castle, depending on the value). And with high potential to be contested. (the opposing team has a good chance to fight for the final treasure, etc.)
In BFME2, the Wargs and Cave Trolls make the early game quite fun.
The Drakes even had AoE fire.
PS. Imo, the idea of treasures is interesting, if they enable players to do more army. Or to sack a base to get a Siege Weapons or Unique Units, idk, something fun.
I like treasures in AoE III but I don’t want it in AoM

Yes make the relics pickupable by villagers like in AoE iii.
No I don’t want this in AoMR and besides it doesn’t fit into what AoM is.
