[Poll](Updated) Which civs would you like to see in the game? (All popularly requested civs included)

As for the architecture of Eastern Europe, which is in the game, it suits Hungarians and Lithuanians as well as Poles, Croats and Romanians. It is worth noting that this style only does not match the rest of the churches. They should find their way into the Byzantine architectural style. They should be replaced by churches typical of Central Europe.

It definitely does not suit the Slavs (Ruthenians) and the Bulgarians.

Ruthenians should receive a unique architecture.

White churches with golden domes and white walls. Most of the wooden buildings. Castles should be modeled on the Kremlin (Ruthenian castles). This architecture, especially wooden, looked fabulous and mystical at the same time.

Ruthenians could also get the same style as the Vikings. Wooden buildings also dominated. They could have a lot of buildings in common.

Bulgarians should use the same architectural style as the Byzantines. Serbs too.

The Finno-Ugric could appear alongside the Inuit and have a common architecture.

Australia and Oceania (in many countries simply called Oceania) - the name of a part of the world, used in Polish geographical nomenclature, and encompassing the islands of the Pacific Ocean, i.e. Oceania and the continent of Australia. Includes the regions of Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.

I know

Why would these 2 have the same buildings? Finns are between russia and sweden they should get the slavic buildings or viking.

You won’t be able to find even 10 finnish ruler names.

You can if you take the swedish rulers too.

But swedes are norsemen not uralic.

It was just a casual suggestion. If anything, it would be more Viking architecture.

Finno-Ugric is a group of nations such as Finns, Estonians, Karelians and Sami. For sure there will be 10 rulers from among these nations;)

It would be a supplement to the huge area between the Vikings and the Slavs (which is actually Ruthenians).

This civilization would represent Finno-Ugric, but they would simply call themselves Finn. As with Lithuania - Lithuania as the most powerful Baltic nation represents all the Balts nations.

I have already tried and failed. They were always dominated by their neighbors. No local rulers.

Well indian civi has mughal and delhi sultanate names so these guys can also have a mix of sweden and russian rulers.

Finns could get wonder from the Slavs. Slavic wonder is based on the Kizhi Pogost (built in the 17-18th century xDDDDD). It is located in Karelia. I think it might fit a Finnish civ. The Slavs (should change their name to Ruthenian) could get a new miracle shifting to:

Kyiv Pechersk Lavra,
Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv
or Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow

Are finns and georgians really that different I could not find anything spectacular about georgia.

Going with the Wallachians here and I’m glad to see there are others who voted for them. The only thing is that I wouldn’t make them part of a Bulgarian Empire, I think they should be the distinct civilization that got to form north of the Danube once the Romans left the place.

I feel the same, but because I did not know as much about India or Africa. I am 100% fine with Kongo, Swahili, Mississippians etc., but for me it’s which should have priority.

I guess we all want the ones we like best in first, right?

I agree with architecture - combining so many civs into one arch is horrible, and I guess due to time constraints. It would take a lot of time and maybe not really give the devs much more money?

Im just looking at european people who are not already covered by current civis.finns albanians etc.
If we take the rest of the world there are plenty of better candidates, but lets not go back to that topic.

The Albanians were too small a nation to represent them in AoE 2. The fact is that they are similar to the Basques - they are neither Slavs, nor Greeks, nor Magyars. They have always been part of the empires that ruled their land, that is, the Serbian Empire, the Bulgarian Empire, or the Byznatic Empire. Unfortunately, they were just too insignificant to add them to AoE 2. Basques, for example, too.

In the case of the Finns, they inhabited areas that no one else has yet tried to conquer. Sami, Karelias, Finns and Estonians would have a common umbrella civ.

Some civilizations in this game sound more ancient than medieval, e.g. Celts and Goths.

The Celts speak Irish - strange when they also represent Scots. The Goths speak Middle High German / Old High German, which was used in the south of Germany. Their Huskarl unit is Anglo-Saxon. It is complicated and chaotic.

Someone stubborn would find the missing civ in Western Europe. Catalans, Scots, Swiss, 1-2 German civs and rename Celts for Irish, or even rename Goths for example Saxons.

Unfortunately, AoE 2 is very chaotic.
