Aqueducts instead of roads
The more the merrier and I donāt care about balance. You left out Filipino pantheon such an underrated mythology for South East Asia.
Tengrists, because I want to see mammoths lol.
Regarding Israelites & Phoenicians: both believed in the same Semitic pantheon, the true monotheism would only start during the Babylonian Exile due to exposition to Zoroastrianism. A single Canaanite pantheon would be fine.
Some Hindu gods are ridiculed by Hindus themselves. As long as the devs include only the early Rigvedic gods (no Ganesha, no Trimurti, Tridevi, nor their avatars), the only people offended should be hardcore Vedic revivalists (a movement as serious as western neopagans).
Yeah, they can generalize a bit but they shouldnāt lump the whole continent together.
+1
It would be cool to have Aboriginal Australia in the game.
One major issue about the Buddhists as a separate pantheon in AoM is that their gods are essentially identical to the Hindu ones ā and itās not the case of two different cultures like Greeks and Romans identifying their gods with each otherās, both arose from the same Indian society, have identical names unless translated to Chinese/Japanese/Korean, etc.
A single Dharmic pantheon for India would work much better imho.
In contrast, I wouldnāt lump Scythians together with Turco-Mongol Tengrists, even conjoining them with Avestan Iranians might be a stretch given that they had very different names and roles for their deities (Scythian fire deity is female and called Tabiti, Avestan fire deity is male and called Atar)
