Not “rework”, but Tornado could do more damage and Plague of Serpents summon more snakes in later ages

I find the nerf that shifting sands got, by being unable to shift enemy units, particularly disappointing. It was a cool flavour and made it have clear differentiation from Underworld Passage and Vortex.

This is very true. I would have liked it to be kept the same.

Locust feels an underwhelming fei beast now, dunno how it could be modified thou. Also wonder if the serpents being controlable would be too busted.

It gave way to cheese, trapping enemy units in a wall box under tower and tc fire, it gave a free “no u dont” defense against a tc deny attempt. Basically it was way to versatile, defensive or offensive use in a single god power that now with retold mechanics you spam.

Yeah I thought if they would change it then just for enemy units and not for your own cause like this is just an earlier vortex but I personally like shifting sands more still cause it doesn’t port all units from everywhere you have to plan it more (personally not a fan of vortex and it’s lack of counter play) and yes we have underworld passage which is one of the most iconic and best designed GPs in my opinion.

You could either just buff locust or even better let it leave the ones infected with a sickness who they passed through (or bleed maybe?)

Just increase the number of snakes and maybe their health a bit would be already fine in my opinion or let them also infect bitten enemies with a dot like toxin or something.

And about shifting sands yea it was too well rounded before but I personally just would have let enemies units be shifted and not allies to make it more different. Just my opinion though.

Yea, the thing with locust and fei beast is that its never fun in the recieving end, just loosing 20 vills is sick and dunno if it even exists a point between being underwhelming or being just an unfair stomp.

The snakes thing sounds fun, i didnt know they didnt scale with different age, like fei beats do, and they should imo (dunno if it is because they arent myth units anymore).

If i get to pick 1 fo the 2 between ally sands or enemy sands i think ally is better, gives more versatility. Enemy sands is just either take ttheir units away to stop aggresion or send them to a trap. Ally shifting sands allows to teleport to early tc, retreat vills or army in a loosing battle (against flaming weapons or w/e) timing attacks (siege/elephants/scarab into opponents base) Denying a titan or a wonder, rescuing an ally, theres plenty more uses for it.
