Just curious where people’s priorities are. Would you rather seen the team spend the next 12 months fixing balancing issues and bugs, pushing new content (fourth Gods and next Civ) or a bit of both?
What would you like to see happen in the next 12 months for AoM Retold?
- Balancing and bug patches
- New content (4th Major Gods/ Civs etc)
- A bit of both (Balance/bugs & new content)
Personally, I prefer they spent the next 12 months balancing and bug fixing. I’m happy to wait for more content (knowing its coming). I’d rather they spend the time getting the game right and a number of bugs/ balance issues do bother me. I’m always prefer they take their time doing something well and have to wait for it, rather than getting delivered something poor that disappoints and may or may not get fixed.
You?
As i mentioned in another post, it would be nice to replace the fire giant for Baldr with a new one like a wyrm or a wyvern

And give the fire giant to someone else or remove it completely?
Hel has that unit and a upgrade to it. Fire Giant is a great unit but is fun that two minor gods have it as a main unit. Another alternative is giving Baldr a diferent upgrade to this giant

For me, I think adding new content is more important than fixing minor bugs or minor balances, because the game needs new content at this early stage to attract new players.
Of course, major bugs and major balancing issues should be solved as a priority, but some people here need to be able to distinguish between minor and major before shouting from the rooftops that the devs need to be fired

I don’t think this question makes sense.
Of course bugs need to be fixed and balance as to be improved. It always has to.
But that doesn’t mean that game designers can’t design new civilisations, asset creators can’t make new models and map creators can’t work on the next campaign.
It’s just different skill sets.
Unless you want those people to be moved to work on a different game.
Also they promised a new DLC for this year and people already payed for that.
I don’t know much about game design. But from what I’ve heard its a small studio working on this. So I am imagining that each team member is responsible for several things (including making something new or fixing something already in the game)? In order to get things done, they probably have to spread their time thin and can’t focus on something until its 100% polished?
People likely do multiple things but that doesn’t mean they can do all things.
So they can’t just easily do one kind of work for an entire year.
