ISSUE EXPERIENCED
The portoguese hunt nerf makes you unable to get the gold medal by 2 secs. It isn’t impossible impossible, but very very very hard. You have to sacrifice your settlers to get the crates and gather even when losing them vs enemy soldiers. I don’t think that should be how the game should be played.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Play the art of war mission “Early defense”
- Very very difficulty to get the gold medal by 2 secs
EXPECTED RESULT
Be able to get the gold medal.
Solution
Also enable steel trap in the mission like hunting dogs.

Have you considered playing better?
as i said it is not impossible impossible but you need to sacrifice many vills to enemy. That shouldn’t be in a mission teaching how to play.

There are ways to gather and preserve your vils, relying on game knowledge and taking advantage of rally points. It’s hard, but not impossible to preserve a good chunk of your vils and reach gold rating, which is intended to be at a solid competitive level.

i mean not a vid but you can consistently be ready to age 10 secs before the gold mark

Its not hard to think that something like this could’ve happen, many times devs have made balance changes focused on MP but with zero regard to the SP content, that results in these issues.
i dont think this is one of those cases though
it was a 5% hunting bonus which works out to like 0.05 more food per second.
with the 10 ish vils you have that works out to only 86-100 more food ish over the 3 mins
i didn’t realize you had wood surplus, i put this as the solution to sell wood.
