Predatory animals do not hunt villagers

Just put it back in devs. The odd bear attacking a stray vill isn’t hurting anyone and it adds to the flavor. This was in aoe1, aoe2, aoeo, and the original aom. There’s no need to have removed it.

They’ve removed TC in the range of siege ships for the same reason: they’re trying to standardize the game as much as possible.

From a competitive standpoint that’s not a bad idea per se, but more of the same every game is getting boring to watch or even play after a while.

Then why is AnimalPredator as a separate class from AnimalReactive? And why do Predators still say they attack villagers in their Rollover text?

Dunno who wants the predators to not attack anyone. Even if they reduce the predator range to a very small range, its much better if they still attack villagers that pass close to them.

It’s also worth mentioning that wolves attack units in Age of Empires IV, the newest Age game. So it’s been a consistent feature in every Age game, except AOE3 because they’re used as Treasure Guardians instead, which is not comparible to AOM. It’s a really silly change to take it out.
