it happens in some games, prelades suddenly stop auto buffing villagers, so you have to micro the prelade cast until you can place him into the unique building.

It’s an old known bug.
Obviously the Devs didn’t give a damn to fix it, even though it was reported multiple times in the beta(-s).
This release is a joke tbh.
