not really a bug with aoe2, but more with the forums themselves (is there a forum for the forum?)
Myself and several others are experiencing issues uploading photos in forum posts
the upload spinner reaches 100%, but then there is an error message.
yeah I had difficulty to. Had to try a few different ways, a few different times before I got a picture to upload.
exactly, with screen clippings I usually just make a new one and that seems to work some of the time
I keep pasting multiple times until it works. It’s really annoying to have to do that to begin with.
Same. Tried all types of format - JPG/JPEG/PNG/WEBP. No result.
I even got an error that said the file type was wrong, that it needed to be, among others, a png…when I was uploading a png from the wiki.
Late reply but the forum doesn’t accept webp files, and Fandom wikis converts images to webp format (even if the filename says otherwise). If you copy and paste through a browser it’ll get pasted as a PNG though, if I’m not mistaken.
this issue is still occuring. at least the forum resembles the game, and reported bugs don’t get fixed for months
