ELO-based matchmaking is quite limited in its approach. ELO ratings can be manipulated easily, and as LimitedViper has demonstrated, having high micro skills and APM/EAPM isn’t as crucial as making the right strategic decisions. I’ve faced players with ELOs around 1000-1100 who have played thousands of games, leading to very unbalanced matches. I suggest that the number of games played should be a weighted factor in matchmaking. This could make it more difficult for highly experienced players to be matched with those who have played significantly fewer games, and it could also reduce the ELO loss for less experienced players when they lose to seasoned players. In my opinion, this system needs an overhaul. What are your thoughts?
I find these matches too one sided.
