• Console: PlayStation 5 (PS5)
• Game Version: (If you know the current patch number, include it here; otherwise, you can leave it blank or mention ‘Latest Patch’).
Detailed Description of the Error
When starting a Custom Skirmish match with personalized victory conditions (e.g., only Wonder Victory enabled), saving the game, and then loading the game later (especially after closing the application), the loaded game’s victory conditions are reset to the default settings (Conquest, Sacred Sites, Wonder).
This prevents players from continuing long games under customized rules, as the settings are not preserved.
Steps to Reproduce the Error
Please follow these steps to replicate the issue:
1. Start Skirmish: Go to the Skirmish mode.
2. Configure Conditions: In the game settings, uncheck all victory conditions except one (e.g., only Wonder).
3. Begin the Match: Start and play the game for a few minutes.
4. Save the Game: Pause the game and use the Save Game option.
5. Close and Reopen: Quit the game (close the AoE IV application from the PS5 menu) and relaunch it.
6. Load the Game: From the main menu, go to the Load option and select the saved file.
Expected Result vs. Actual Result
• Expected Result: Upon loading the game, the configured victory conditions (e.g., only Wonder) should still be active.
• Actual Result: Upon loading the game, the victory conditions are reset to the default configuration (all options active).
Additional Note
I suspect this bug is related to the known issue where PS5 game settings (like UI narration and other configurations) do not persist and are reset upon restarting the application. It appears this persistence failure is also affecting the saved game configuration upon loading.
