You will not have enough Gold to use Huskarls and HCs at the same time.
The issue with Goths, is that their spam is resource-inefficient by design, so they may you win if overwhelm you, but you can outlast them.
Sometimes sure, but that’s the point of the OP: why persist with spam when it doesn’t work when you have a cost efficient unit to deal with the enemy?

Because HCs are so easily countered by Skirms, and Goths do not have good Cavalry to back them up, so you might aswell as keep spamming Infantry till you win or lose.
Not everyone has good skirms. For example, Teutons. Or Franks (with their Axemen), Slavs, Celts, Burmese.

Lol people out here saying you don’t have gold to afford both. It’s doable. Just put 10-15 HC behind your huskarl/champs and thats all you need
Even in goth mirror hand cannoneers are used. Heavy scorpions takes a long time to tech into but are also a good goth option

All they really need is chemistry and multiple ranges, perfectly usable without armor upgrades. Its not a big investment to tech into
