ISSUE EXPERIENCED
I recently got a new PC and decided to purchase the new DLC for AOE II as it just released a few days ago. I already owned all of the other DLCs and the game through the Microsoft Store/Xbox App and have played them for many hours previously on an older gaming laptop. As I intend to use my new PC for gaming moving forward, I decided to download/install AOE II and all of its DLCs on there. (I also installed several other Age of Empires games, including Age of Mythology, and all of their DLCs as well.)
When loading AOE II, in-game, it shows all of the DLC packs as not being downloaded. I have gone into the game’s Manage option in the Xbox app and have confirmed that all the DLCs are selected. I have also uninstalled everything and reinstalled to no avail; I still receive this error/glitch in-game. The weird thing is, on my old laptop, the game functions normally with all DLCs showing up and working properly in-game, including the new, recently released one. I even uninstalled the game and all the DLCs on there and reinstalled them, and they all still work.
Also of note is that all the DLCs for all the other Age of Empire games are working properly on the new PC as well, so this issue is limited to just AOE II on my new PC. I know there was a similar or identical issue s few months back that was supposedly patched; there may be a possibility that a recent update is causing a similar problem.
