I would like a Guadiana map, the river that marks the southern stretch of the Portuguese-Spanish border, which saw a lot of battles throughout the centuries. Low tree cover, a river flowing south and splitting the map in half, water in the lower fifth of the map, mountains and cliffs with gold in the upper fourth and the remaining 55% would be flat.
Or maybe a small deviation from the real world could be made and the river could shift east and end in Gibraltar, with a piece of North Africa showing up with a Moroccan trading post.
and there should obviously be boars as treasure guardians
