Random map repeated several times

Issue:

Playing random map single player, picking a single map type (Arabia), I had an identical map and opponent 3 times so far. Once yesterday afternoon, and two times in a row this afternoon. My PC was off overnight. I have the replays if it helps.

Reproduction Steps:

I’m not able to reproduce this yet . I will update this topic if I find additional evidence.
Here is what I was doing:

  1. Standard Game. Not sure if settings matter, but mine are:
  • Random Map
  • 2 Players
  • Location: Single - Arabia
  • Size: Tiny
  • My Civ: Lithuanians
  • Enemy Civ: Random
  • Difficulty: Extreme
  • Victory: Conquest
  • All others: Standard or Normal
  1. Start the game.
  2. Win, or lose, or resign.
  3. Return to main menu.
  4. Standard game, keep same settings, start the game

I guess it’s possible to get the same seed three times within 24 hours… but doesn’t seem very likely.
