What is the issue with the current ranks?
I only see a mild problem in high conqueror 3, where pros and very good hobby-players are in the same tier even though still having a big skill-difference.
The issue isnt merely at the high end IMO. BUT in the mid range given how easily it is to quickly obtain OR lose a rank title. This makes the differentiation less meaningful.
Personal example. I can go from diamond ll and conqueror l and back in a matter of 5 game winning/losing streak. IFF instead it took 3-5 games winning/losing to just achieve/lose a single tier ( from l to ll )THEN it would make the title a more meaningful depiction of my skill range.
Right now elo is the legit consistently meaningful representation of skill ALONE.
So for example from 1200 to 1499 elo would make a great title tier that’s also consistent with its relative skill range. (The new Platinum tier).
