I hope people now understand what I meant when I said that Ra without Nepthys really struggles against big myth units, basically forcing you to go Osiris to have any real myth unit counter.

I’m sure they’ll rebalance the heroic gods, dunno why Recon didn’t go with Ptah though, yeah I know he was pushing with those sphinx’s to try get early damage but wadjets are cheap and do Devine damage and tech that turns slingers into legit machine guns
I always loved Ptah being my age up of choice for cheaper farms and better barracks units even back to legacy days. Bast is overrated as a age up in Retold. RecoN shouldn’t of went Bast IMO.
RecoN needed some more Priests and fewer Chariots especially when it took 21 min to start researching Heavy Chariots.
Petsuchos are the Ras myth unit counter now that they have 2x against myths and divine damage.
Issue was that Recon wasn’t focusing TAs with Chariots or Rock giants with Petsuchos (and had max 2 priests). His micro was very lacking and he could have won this game but I am guessing the raids threw him off from his game. He even got his Petsuchos taunted by rock giants and killed even though they walk significantly faster.
Another thing is RocoN didn’t get any of the relics while TheMista got all of them with some good ones like improve cavalry speed, gold gathered faster and ranged soldiers have more hitpoints.
Wasn’t remotely competitive but it was entertaining
Mapu who did the spectating did such a good job. The game was zoomed in and it made it fun to watch. It was way better than the games leading up to the finals.
