Bombards are just a better treb in every way, and take down buildings WAY too fast, can even engage units which is very silly. They were ultra expensive back then, either make them more expensive or reduce their damage whichever fits aoe’s balance better.
what are you talking about? bombards are already very expensive and much more fragile and with less range than a trebuchet. The trebuchet is simply easier and lower skill unit to use, unlike most other siege engines that require a lot of skill to use well with their fragility

bombards can be converted, are more fragile, they require chemistry (which is one of, if not the slowest upgrade to research) to produce, and are more expensive.

If you want to nerf BBC do it with the training time, but I think they are balance.

Trebuchet is far easier to defend due to longer range
BBCs also do significantly less damage against buildings than trebuchets do. They’re usable against buildings, but are more anti-siege than anti-building.
I think the BBC are fine. The main issue is the unique upgrade from the Bohemians and possibly the UU from the Turks, but it is fairly expensive.
