Maybe reduce vision to normal unit level when carrying a deer, so the pro scout won’t give an additional advantage of whole map patrol like vision. If there are deer packs on both sides of the map it gives the advantage for the pro scout player and disadvantage for the opponent trying to raid or proxy building.

Im struggling as japan to beat rus for this very reason. How can a civ which is based on clever timings and position do anything against a civ which has early knight presence and sees the whole map plus can rapidly deploy cheap and effective defense on a whim?
