Regarding Greece Villagers

Why does Greece start with 4 villagers whilst everyone else starts with 3 or 2 if you’re Atlantis? This gives Greece a rather unfair advantage over all the other pantheosn because of this, as they advance much quicker through the ages compared to everyone else.

I think the reason might be related to Greeks have an additional resource (favour) that they have to collect using a villager?

2 Atlantean villagers = 4 Greek villagers.

So it’s both of them that have more starting villagers then the others.

  1. When you look at the balance of things its better to look also at the big picture and not just instances when one thing is more/less than the other alone
  2. Its due to how the economy works. Its balanced out by the starting resources and by who much you need to age up and spend on buildings. Same thing for the separate gather rates each civs has.
  3. Its always been the case, back in the old game greeks began with 3 and others with 2. (except atty that began with 1 but that 1 is worth 3)
  4. Kuafu are worth 3 vills so china starts with 5 if you want to make that count
  5. Atty citizen are worth 2 each so they also start with 4
  6. Japan has 3 citizen and miko which is a dedicated vill for favor. so its also 4
  7. Norse has 3 vills and a free drops site which is similar in resources
  8. Eggy has 3 vills and a pharaoh which can empower the difference when you account that their stuff is cheaper.

This is false. Greek doesnt have the fastest advance time. The other civs just dont do it because they benefit more from a slower age up most of the time.

But plenty of civs can indeed age up faster if they wanted to (atty, norse and 2/3 of china for exammple)

Not really imo
