Don’t know if this has been posted before but I seriously don’t understand why this isn’t already a thing. The rematch option on the ranked ladder is so stupid. Opens up an unranked lobby and you can change the settings to whatever you want. Obviously it should be the same map with the same settings, there’s no need for all the lobby options. Chess.com seems to manage fine with playing the same player immediately after. And since the ELO system for aoe2 comes from chess, it wouldn’t be outrageous to have a ranked rematch option. You should be able to continue to rematch until the ELO difference is more significant. Playing one game gives you a small indication of how that opponent plays so a losing player will still be in with a chance for revenge and points in the 2nd or 3rd games. It can’t be that difficult to set up and it makes perfect sense, especially at the higher ELOs where queue times are much longer.
