The team play was confusing because my color (blue) was the same as the enemy’s.

I had the same thing.
I chose the color - red and the enemy also ± at the same time as me chose the same color. And we are from different teams. Apparently there is some delay and therefore some games can be played with two identical colors.
In the settings you can assign a hotkey to display all allies in yellow and enemies in red, just for such cases.
