Request: Byzantine Changes and Macro Heavy Reduction

Would you all please consider mitigating how macro intensive this faction is. I think it would be great if they didn’t have to worry about building lumber camps, similar to how the Templars work for example. There gold rate is a bit scarce as well. I understand their whole premise is for Mercs, but even with 20 workers on gold the entire match, I am lucky if I get any gold units out until the end of the match. By that I mean the match is pretty much over. My suggestion for this would be to allow the gold based units to also be made using olive oil as well as gold.

I don’t build the aqueduct lines until the base is complete, and this is because they impede buildings if they are built before their construction. Aqueducts can be placed on top of existing buildings without an issue. This is problematic, because I cannot maximize the value of the connected cistern bonus until late game. It is also an issue on some smaller maps, as there is not enough space to allow the Byzantine layout to be built strategically to better compete with their opponent. By the time I make the connections the research is already complete and the battle is already over. Would you kindly make it so that a building can be built around it regardless of when the aqueduct line is constructed? Finally, since having cisterns near the mining camps can contribute to the gold gather rate, would it be possible to have the aqueduct’s prices be lowered (perhaps even free) so that they could be connected to mining camps further away from main bases?
